The CIC Library Directors Group meets twice a year to set goals, establish priorities, and take action on a variety of collaborative activities. The Library Directors provide support, direction, and initiative for all the activities carried out through the CIC Center for Library Initiatives. The members of the Committee on Institutional Cooperation--the Chief Academic Officers (Provosts)--provide the overall funding and strategic directions for the CIC academic consortium and the CIC Center for Library Initiatives. The CIC Library Directors establish specific projects and programs, review reports from numerous CIC CLI committees, task forces, and working groups, act on recommendations from those groups, discuss national and global issues, needs, and opportunities related to research libraries, and exchange information and ideas with one
another.
