Big Ten Conference Center Information
The Big Ten Conference graciously allows groups from the CIC
to meet at their Headquarters and Meeting Center, depending on
space availability. The Big Ten Center has five meeting rooms
varying in size, accommodating groups from 12 to 60 in number,
depending on the room.
If you are organizing your group's meeting (that is, if the CIC
has not called the meeting), you should contact the Big Ten Conference
Headquarters directly (Sue Immekus simmekus@bigten.org).
MEETING SERVICES AVAILABLE:
Internet service is available for your group using a
wireless access point and, on a limited basis, wired access. You
will need to bring your own wireless card or Ethernet cord to
use this service. If your group is interested in this service,
please let the CIC headquarters staff know.
Digital video conferencing is also available for your
group in case you have group members who would like to join the
meeting but are unable to travel to the meeting, or you wish to
bring in guests (virtually). Contact the CIC headquarters staff
to make arrangements for video conferencing.
Photocopying is also available on a limited basis and
your group will be charged at the Big Ten Centers current
per page charge. It is recommended that your group members prepare
copies on their home campuses and bring them to the meeting.
The CIC has an LCD projector at the Big Ten Center that
can be connected to a laptop computer to show slide presentations.
Other audiovisual equipment like overhead projectors, televisions,
and VCRs are available through the Big Ten Center.
